Radiohead is okay but Dylan is better, what next?

Not to sound like a dick, here, but maybe you should try some music from artists who don't have t-shirts for sale at the mall.

Start with Pitchfork's "Top 50" from last year. Plenty of music there, and some of it is even good.

Following Dylan, I'd say Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Jackson Browne, T-Bone Burnett, the Velvet Underground. If you want more recent, then Joe Henry, Okkervil River, Neko Case, Jackie Greene, Josh Ritter, M. Ward, Silver Jews.

Not big on Radiohead, so I can't really say where to go from there.

Evet, Tarkan tanıyorum iyi

Don't get your hopes up, though, my Turkish is terrible. Probably much worse than Tarkan's German.

Obscure lyrics?

Try Jay Farrar's solo projects, "Sebastopol" and "Terroir Blues."

Or pick up a collection of Wallace Stevens poems. Plenty to chew on there.

Whoa-meaning you dont own any albums by these artists??

In that case, start with Pink Floyd and Rush and move on to Crimson and Genesis.

Start with these:

Pink Floyd-Animals and Dark Side of the Moon
Rush-Moving Pictures

These are EPIC albums.

Uhhh....I think Robert Pollard (of Guided by Voices fame) has the market cornered on weird song titles with indecipherable lyrics:

Roofer's Union Fight Song

For every wild weekend
The roofers cry
Under the underdog bullwhip

A "Nothing For Granted" requested
Abusing the signal
Went forth the student of mystery

Out there in the way- let's waste him
Show him the teaching tool
Only "No Ones" get through the gate
...not in my airforce

He's penned about 10,000 tunes (or so he says) like this.

How about some Nick Drake? I'd start with Five Leaves Left.

Seemingly simple lyrics, but deep meaning if you listen closely.
