Creating a whole new brand for higher end offerings indicates a new pricing tier, clearly above the old ones. IE Magna will probably cost more than the SR1b. The only reason why this would not be the case, would be a falling out with the partners involved in the old brand ( so legal reasons).
Shhh... don't embolden them :)

So my VM-1a didn't come with an extra fuse :triportsad:

But now I have a 20 pack of them coming tomorrow

that is a real shame, nothing worse than waiting for and anticipating new gear...having it arrive and then having an issue with it...on the plus side if it a fuse issue you should be able to fix it without much aggravation...when I bought mine danny tested it out and ran it for a few days to make sure it was running properly..I did have a problem with my hsa-1b which danny dealt with immediately..an absolute pleasure to deal with danny

I wasn't clear enough, sorry.

What I meant to ask was: what was the rating of the fuse that was in the amp?
It's kinda hard to tell. It says TZL250V. It definitely looks blown though. There's a black ring around the middle of it.

Legit. Owned by me. It's my new spare-no-effort brand. Starting here on Head-Fi on 1st. of February.

It's a new brand in the same family tree, but all new concept...
Will there be a preview at this year's CanJam NYC?

Look carefully, there should be some more labeling besides the 250V max. rating.
Sometimes the embossing is a bit faint.

Is the black ring painted or residue from the burnt wire?
It says ESKA on the top, but I don't see anything else. It looks like residue from the burnt wire

Well, the new fuse fixed the problem. Hopefully it won't happen again, but I have spare fuses at least :L3000:
