The susvara's successor should not be long from what I have read.

Regularly compared to RAAL's Immanis, it seems unthinkable that Hifiman does not react...

The competition will be tough and will make you salivate.

The meeting on June 15/16 in Lyon with, in addition, the stax 9000 and the shangri senior will be a real test...and will be grandiose!

Personally I never judge a helmet but a system, it's not going to be easy.

I sold my stax 9000....just in case!

Aleksandar R are you trembling? I understand that not.

Thank you for being there for our pleasure.

Sincerely

I think Hifiman have a different house sound to Raal or Caldera or any other headphones, it's special in its own right but not necessarily better.
So I guess if the presentation of Hifiman is important to you, go for it, but if Detail, Speed, Dynamics, Air and being True to the Recording, is important to you you'd probably like Raal better.

I doubt that Aleksandar is trembling, he feels comfortable with his product, and he should be, they are great headphones.

Totally agree with you that you should never judge the headphone, it’s the system chain that is playing the music. Alex will never and has no need to ‘tremble’; the ribbon drivers are not inferior to any other technology. It’s simply a question of preferences and what fires your emotional response to music. It took my brain more than 2 days to accept what the SR-1b was doing to the sound I was hearing; people who have never experienced the ribbon drivers don’t normally have this much time for their brains to adjust. But once it happens there is no other transducer that gives so much realism to the experience. Debatable I know, but that’s my experience right now.

Sounds good! Fingers crossed that I shall receive my Immanis during my birthday month of June. 🤗
Fun, totally unrelated story.... in mid-2019 I went to the Wempe Rolex boutique on 5th Avenue and put down a deposit on a Datejust 41. Several months later COVID happened and everything went mad, and then quite coincidentally (or perhaps not at all?) my Rolex arrived gift-wrapped on my exact birthday in May 2020. Here's hoping you have the same luck!

Hmm...I instantly thought of the past times and the country where I lived (Aleksandar, too, he would know what I am talking about :) ).
I thought you were going to say that devaluation cut the price in half, and you paid twice less while waiting.

In the '80s, living in Yugoslavia was quite an interesting time for me; great time growing up.
We had massive currency devaluation.

Levi's 501 jeans were expensive, and buying them for the full price wasn't easy.
I had a friend I trained basketball with, and he was working in the jeans store, so when 501 arrived, I told him,
" Hey, keep a pair for me for a month...they cost 100DM.

But after a month, I would come to collect my (first 501) jeans and pay 30-40DM for them.

It would be interesting to know how much that was in the currency, but I forgot...we had Dinars and often bills in billions, hahaha.
Wonderful times :)

BTW...I was in NYC in 1988. I spent a Summer with my uncle.
And Levi's 501 were $28, and how much are they now? :)
You could buy great Wranglers for $14, not bad jeans like these days, but great Wranglers. :)

Cheers!

After a whirlwind 2-week romance, I said goodbye to the Magna today. 😢 It's back with its rightful owner. I shall miss the lovely glint off your silver grilles and lively musical magic, dear headphone. Thank you, @MokhaMark, for the opportunity to audition it alongside its bigger brother!

After a little more time to mourn the loss, I will draft some Immanis vs Magna comparisons, which I hope to post early next week. Stay tuned!

Demand outweighing supply I think...Probably quite a few of us waiting to get them on our ears to hear for ourselves. :sunglasses:
