Hey guys, I am planning to get the XB500 headphones tomorrow, but I have a few questions,
 
Is it worth the 70 dollars I am going to spend on it?
 
Is it very muddy, or is it EQ-able?
 
How would I set the equalizer if I need to?
 
and is the bass badass enough for dubstep?

Where are you from? I don't think I'd buy it for $70... if you live in the USA you should be able to find it even around $40.

What EQ would you use? The result after EQing will highly depend on EQ used. For dubstep EQing XB500 won't be that important but it's those more demanding genres with acoustic instruments and lots of vocals that benefits more by a more balanced frequency response. 
 
The bass is really nice for dubstep yea.
 
Do you have to buy at BestBuy? $70 is a little much compared to what other online sites sells it for but in CAD I'd still say $70 is very worth it especially for dubstep.

you might be able to pricematch with http://www.computervalley.ca/MDRXB500/MDRXB500/Sony_MDRXB500_Extra_Bass_Headphone_Connectivity_Wired_Stereo_Overthehead, takes a little arguing to get out of the shipping costs, but should save you about 10-15 dollars
