Steven, good luck. I'm still kind of hesitant myself due to excessive shipping costs to Asia in case the player breaks within warranty. Heck, I find that shipping from US to Canada is headache inducing.

Another thing I'm personally worry about is the lack of losless formats Kenwood supports. If only it supports FLAC...Personally did not see any posts here comparing the integrity of FLAC files of (X5; IMOD) to Kenwood's own proprietory format.

What is there to compare? They're both lossless. They both support tags, except FLAC is universal and KLS is proprietary.

There shouldn't be any problem when shipping, they use EMS for warranty repairs and stuff.

where did you find that price?!

The HD20GA7 was listed as $269 from Warehouse123 just days ago. Must have been mislisted because now it's back to $399.

The HD10GB7/HD30GB9 can be found at the bluetin site for $300/$400, respectively.

I also hope it's 'receptive' enough to respond differently to the variety of amps available.

The Kenwood also supports the WAV lossless format. In case you did not know.

To be honest, bluetin looks very messy! I don't have confidence!

The default site leads you to Bluetin Singpore. Blutin Japan is the merchant that sells these pups. The BJ route is much cleaner.

cheap... :/ You can get a new retail Ipod 80gb for cheaper. The kenwood will cost at least 537 dollar (19% shipping taxes included for netherlands). The Ipod is better than hd30gb9 in evertyhing but sound. It's such a hard decision.

I'm personally contemplating of getting the X5 (Rockbox), waiting for the X7 and the new ZVM or just buying one of the Kenwood players.

iPod are not in the same class! For portable audio, the sound quality will be the first priority!

The Creative booth, which features the theme ‘Pure Music - in colour', will introduce visitors to new and exciting ZEN MP3 players. Innovative solutions featuring X-Fi technolgy which enhances the pleasure of MP3 music listening will be demonstrated.

From the article, it looks like Creative may be integrating their XFI technology onto their players. It's quite ambiguous actually. Maybe they'll be showing the XFI technology along with their players instead. I'm not sure how to interpret it, honestly.
