Morning! I've been lurking around the forum to determine if the older E9 works with the newer E07K

I've come across this post, but I believe it is translated and doesn't give a straight answer:
http://www.head-fi.org/t/641216/notification-about-the-compatibility-between-e09-e09k-and-e7-e07k-e17

So, I'd just like some confirmation from anyone who's tried and got the E9 to work with the E07K? I'm assuming the gain will have to be switched down and no aux connections from my research. Thanks!

Do you already own the E9 or E07K?

Hey PurpleAngle, I have an E9 and a broken E7. Looking to move into either an E07K or E17K, waiting to find a good deal on one. Just curious before I purchase if it will work with the E9.

Thanks!

You can always get an Asus Xonar DX or D1 sound card (used is fine) and plug the E9 into it.
It comes with the CS4398 DAC chip :)

Or an external DAC ($30-$60)
