So the upper part of the cable that came with the headphones doesn't have much shielding like the lower part which is fully cloth covered. It has totally been ripped apart inexplicably, and I'm not even sure what tears it. I just start to notice that it's fallen apart.

Does anyone know a good 8 foot + long cable which you know is going to be durable? I can't find any reviews for the replacement cables on amazon.

You could also consider 'Forza' who are very well regarded, I bought one of These cables from customcans for my lowly HD600S then upgraded to forzas Claire Hybrid & was glad I did, link to their head-fi thread below
