Have you guys tried Final E tips with the Anole? I think they're my new favorite. I can insert them aaaaall the way inside and get a deep fit, which seems to produce a the most balanced sound I've heard out of the Anole.

I have the same cable, just a bit of mid treble bump, which is nice since all qdc have that 4k-5k dip.

Besides Luminox, balanced cable with proper QDC connector are hard to come by anyway.

I hear a little less bass(-0.5dB?), but it is more controlled. Sub bass/bass layers are more separated. It's a big plus for me, because iFi Micro BL was too bassy on some tracks. Also there are more details in 3-17kHz frequency range, but it is not elevated. Overall tonality is more balanced.

Because of the fit, I like VX much more than Z1R. Also I am 8kHz sensitive and VX is less aggressive in that region. But Z1R wasn't burned in. YMMV.
