there will always be better phones but they will be more expensive and most
likely require an amp to get the full benefit also it would help if you gave a
budget.the px-100's are great without being amped and are priced well for
what they are and sound great.

Awfully sweet, transparent sound, especially for the money. My only (tiny) gripe is I just can't use them on airplanes (not enough isolation), which leaves me the option of carrying 2 different sets or changing, which is how I ended up with AKG k26ps. But now that I am not traveling so much, I am back in the PX100s, and happily so.

It'll be a cold day in hell before they take my PX100's away.

How much better would an amp such as a tomahawk, hornet, or a corda move improve the SQ of the px100's ? I am using the new 3G Nano 8gig and find I have more than ample enough power for these little wonders. Is an amp only really needed for headphones having larger drivers and electrical consumption ?

Would the PX 100 be cool for the PSP?

My 13 year old nephew who normally uses cheap earphones with his psp was simply astonished when he listened to my PX 100 while gaming. I now know for sure what I will be buying him for Christmas.

Imo there is no better bang-for-the-buck than the PX 100.

I found the white ones at newegg.com for $29.99 plus S&H. That's a good price (no longer in effect. They are now $34.95). But the best I see is $31.99 via an Amazon reseller ($9 S&H) called Jowow.

These are an incredible value for the great SQ you get. And when I need an open headphone these are what I reach for. These are probably the cheapest phones I commonly use.
