Giving this a listen at the moment, definitely a big pinch of fusion in the mix - I'm liking it muchly, even without a guitarist

I'm already listening to it, it's very good indeed, much more proggy with some superb musicianship - colour me impressed
I was always going to like the band as they started out with members of Brand X and I'm definitely a fan of them

The new Emerald Dawn album is pretty awesome. If you're into Yes, Pink Floyd, or Genesis, it's definitely worth checking out!

I’ve listened to this earlier this year and I like their stuff-

I'm already listening to it, it's very good indeed, much more proggy with some superb musicianship - colour me impressed
I was always going to like the band as they started out with members of Brand X and I'm definitely a fan of them

It seems the members of Cymbolic Encounters are involved in many projects. I may have posted another earlier on in a release from “ID”. I’m listening to another release now called “Overexposure“ which is also interesting. I do feel these guys would benefit from a different production approach though as I find the sonics kind of lacking. Not to say it’s bad.. I just feel it could sound a little more spacious and alive.

I couldn’t find Emerald Dawn on Qobuz- must not have had enough time yet. Other new releases this week are not showing up yet either. Maybe an end of year drag?
Thankfully I found these sitting on the table- I forgot that I had purchased them…

I do like Soft Machine a lot, my favourite album being Bundles, which features the incredible Allan Holdsworth on guitar and guitar synth

I have “Bundles” and “Softs” in the Harvest Collection box set- I’ll definitely be getting to those as well!

Really liking this A LOT - it could almost be Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson up there. I'm listening to the deluxe version in 24/48 on Amazon Music Unlimited

Emerald Dawn's not on Amazon Music either, I guess their record label isn't pushing them very hard

Listening to “Bundles” now and Holdsworth is just tearing it up! It amazes me that although he was widely respected and well known within music circles that he wasn’t able to achieve a higher level of success than he did. His playing on this recording (1975) would still stand up against some of the best guitarists today. Amazing..
