It is! Unfortunately the "growling" kinda ruins it for me though. I'd be happy if they were to get rid of that going foward.
I think I'm going to have to start an "eradicate the growling" movement lol. But I don't want to be a downer, so I'm going to refrain from commenting on it from now on.
I feel the same, no matter how good the music, as soon as I hear growling I'm out - I've always put it down to being an old fart and growing up on Yes, Genesis, ELP and the like.![]()

He does make some interesting noises at times while playing that flute.Hmm, maybe you're onto something.... I don't think I've ever heard Ian Anderson growl lol![]()

The new Organized Chaos album is quite good. (Recommended if you like bands like Pain Of Salvation and Haken)
Here are a few more I didn't find a search for:
Toehider
not prog, but a progressive artist that's for sure
Michael Adam Mills[3] is an Australian musician and songwriter. He is best known as a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and main songwriter for the progressive rock band Toehider. He began songwriting at an early age, and performing in bands from the age of 12. He was a member of the band Template, before forming Toehider in 2008 with the release of the eponymous EP and the "12 EPs in 12 Months" project. He has recently appeared as a guest vocalist on the Ayreon album The Theory of Everything, with his performance being cited as a highlight by many reviewers.[4][5][6][7]
He has drawn praise for his powerful, emotive voice and vocal range. He has cited Bruce Dickinson and Ian Gillan as vocal influences.[8][9] His vocal range spans four octaves from low C to soprano C.[10][11]
