Really didn't do it for me ....in fact after the Endless Drivel it makes me think its time for him to hang up his guitar ....just saying.

Yeah it is all very derivative, but if I could play like that I would do it all day just to hear myself, I enjoy the barn jams stuff the best,( other than live at Pompeii, THE BEST!)

Agreed, to my ears it sounds like he ran out of ideas a while back and the last PF although made up from offcuts it could have been much more than just inoffensive ambient background music.
Pompeii is a great video and I think I have the original somewhere without the Director's pointless effects. In all the releases they've done over the years I would have loved for them to put it out on Bluray and release the music from it.

I enjoy Amplifiers Fractal EP.

That's one I haven't heard yet.
After Octopus I found Echo Street very different, much more laid back and it took me a while to get into it ....but really enjoy it now.

Anyone heard Queensryche - Condition Human? I'm currently really enjoying it. Not prog, but not extreme either...

Queensryche is a group I don't have much knowledge of ...on my list to investigate but as my list gets ever bigger, I struggle to find time for all this great music.

I have not spent any time with Pink Floyd's stuff (ya, I know). That is probably why I don't mind his new stuff?
