Just in case you want to really test your headphones for accurate, deep, amazing bass. This album really does go all the way down to 30 Hz...

Ya man, give it a try and report back;)

Oh :p

I thought you were asking me why I'm so serious :D

I just watched with movie about 2 weeks ago with my Alpha Primes. It was like wearing subwoofers on my head. NO kidding, I felt it in my chest!

But that Gordian Knot album is no joke(er)

BTW guys, I just got Roon fired up. It is randomly digging quite deep into my collection. I almost feel like staying up all night just to hear what it comes up with.

Like Giles then try McDonald & Giles. A must for any fan of early Crimson

Great album. Remember when it comes to true Progressive Rock (capital P) don't look at the here and now or the future but travel back in time 45 years or so.:joy:

The new Fen album is very good.  (My surprise of the year so far)

Probably too heavy for most of you here but give it a try if you like bands like Agalloch, Alcest and Enslaved.

The record label describes this as "atmospheric Black Metal and delicate, spacious cleans, married with aspects of 70s progressive rock, shoegaze and doom metal"

Awesome! Thanks for the suggestion. We need more of the heavier stuff here.

I've been playing quite a bit of the "recent" Kayak stuff.  2008 onwards really.  If you want to check them out (if you are not familar with them), there's an 8 minute live version of the classic "Merlin" on you tube.

Something more relax today

I liked 'Falling Satellites' the album that "British Wintertime" comes from (serious Auto Tune on the first three tracks on album) but the first two Frost* albums are modern masterpieces. The title track off their first album 'Milliontown' is 25+ minutes of proggy goodness. FYI, get the 2013 revision off Bandcamp. Extra tracks and a better master.
