Look through the list of Rock and Roll hall of fame inductees and tell me being if you think being inducted actually mean something. This is what most people think about them

Considering the "Rock and Roll" Hall of Fame is a creation of the founder of Rolling Stone magazine with a history of hating progressive music. Coupled with the fact that over half of the inductees NEVER played rock and roll (e.g. Rap, Soul, Disco, etc.) the so called hall of fame is a marketing tool and irrelevant.

What do you me "so?". Are suggesting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is no big deal or that Yes being inducted is no big deal?

Yes I am suggesting all of that. No...not suggesting....rather shouting it from the rooftops lol. RRHF is worthless in music imo, for all the reasons @spook76 nicely outlined.

A very Merry Christmas to all progressive music lovers.

The greatest Christmas song from Emerson, Lake and Palmer off 'Works Volume 2'.

Merry Christmas AND Happy Holidays to all as well!

One of my favorite tunes, especially the original "Lt Kije" by Prokofiev. Check it out at 13:21...!

Try this version of "I Believe In Father Christmas" with Greg Lake on guitar and vocals and Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull on flute.

I wonder how many members of the original band will be there. Sadly we lost Chris Squire, the only bass player they ever had and the longest member. I hope Jon will be there even though there was a bit of a rift between he and the other members as they recently toured with a vocalist from a Yes tribute band. I know Steve Howe and Alan White will be there and hopefully Rick Wakeman or maybe even Trevor Rabin and Tony Kaye. Bill Bruford perhaps. Patrick Moraz? I doubt it even though Relayer was a masterpiece. We shall see. When I first posted this another member of this forum simply posted "so?". I got reprimanded my a moderator of this forum by calling the guy an idiot. I was in the wrong by posting a disparaging remark. To quote James McCmurtry:

I hadn't intended to break the rules
but whiskey don't liars, it just makes fools
I didn't mean to say it, but I meant what I said
Too long in the wasteland must have gone to my head

Anyway how could someone of a prog rock forum make such a remark about Yes, perhaps the band most synonymous with progressive rock? The mind boggles. It would be like someone saying "so" about Woody Guthrie or Bob Dylan in a folk forum.
