Right interesting on the links. I too, rarely listen to the links because in general I’m usually listening to music as I’m browsing the forum on an iPad. If there is anything I think I might like (usually based on written descriptions) then I add to my Qobuz favourites (if Qobuz has it) to check out later. If I do listen to links though then sound quality isn’t an issue to me as I’m just tasting on the iPad.

Lux Terminus have a new album coming out next week so I was listening to their 2018 release, The Courage to Be, and remembering just how damn good these guys are. I don't think I've rec'd them here before or seen their work posted so I figured I'd change that. Some of the tracks are a prog/fusion mix while others are more standard prog or even symphonic prog in nature. Regardless, this album is sick and I can't wait to hear what they've put together on their new album next week.

Thanks for the heads up. After first hearing them in 2018 I hoped they would be back.
Had to edit my previous post. This popped up in roon. Half way through and I am pleasantly surprised.

Bandcamp served up another killer new band/album for me the other day. I thought some of you might enjoy this one. It appears to be their debut LP and was released towards the end of March.

Edit: @Progisus that album sounds right up my alley. It's going in the queue for sure. Thanks for the rec!

Bjorn Riis just dropped his new album!
I quite like this…however I find the production a bit compressed, and there’s just not enough of his amazing guitar work IMO.

Not sure how I missed this one. Rec from the Prog and Proud roon forum. Credits Pat Mastelotto on a drums on a couple tracks and Bruce Soord mixing. I was fortunate to watch Pat from above the pool deck stage on a Cruise to the Edge a few years back. Not flashy but sooo solid.
Well that was a pleasant hour and sixteen minutes, a very good album which has been added to my ROON library

Anyone a fan of “King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard”. I recently came across the above album and love it for the quirky psychedelic rock/pop with prog elements. A look on Allmusic and their back catalogue looks like a hell of a ride! Very prolific 25 albums since their 2011 debut.
If anyone is a fan please suggest a few others from their catalogue to explore.
pS- anyone care to suggest what I’m doing wrong copying the embed codes from bandcamp?

At least with Bandcamp, you don't have to do any formatting to embed the link. It does it automatically for me. Also, KGLW are the bees knees and the fact that they keep cranking out multiple albums a year that all seem to have solid material on them is crazy. Though, I will say a few of their more recent ones have fallen a little flat for me.
Polygondwanaland is one of, if not their absolute, best albums. I end up putting it on with some regularity. Great rec!

To keep things topical, I just finished listening to a great album that lies somewhere near the intersection of fusion and prog stylistically speaking. It's a fantastic set with some immaculate songwriting and top shelf musicianship. I'll definitely be giving the other albums in this band's discography a spin.

Nice to hear you’ve stumbled across this band- I’ve listened to them for years now. I’m not sure which of their releases I have on hand- I’d have to check the CD binders but I remember buying one of their discs blindly while on a shopping binge at Amoeba Hollywood- been listening to them ever since. Great stuff!
Indeed, except if you see in my case, from the post above there seems to be a lot of the link that is not being interpreted correctly and is just shown as text in the post. I am just pasting the embed code from bandcamp directly into my post, is this correct? Maybe I should be choosing the hyperlink or media options on the post and pasting in there? At least with Bandcamp, you don't have to do any formatting to embed the link. Also been listening to “Nonagon Infinity” which is completely different to “Polygondwandland” being high tempo thrashy indi style - still great though. Reading through Allmusic reviews of their stuff makes me smile….”this is a folk one”, “this is jazz rock fusion”, this is sunny psychedelic pop”, “this is thrashy indie”. I’m yet to delve much deeper but sounds like there will be some interesting stuff, I don’t expect to like it all but lets see.
Iridescent (2019) by Isborg - Some good crossover prog from Denmark that popped up as a recommendation in ROON. This is the first of their two albums to date, both are well worth a listen.

I just go to "Share" on the Bandcamp page and copy the hyperlink from there, but it also appears to work if you just copy it from the address bar in a browser as well.

Never heard of these guys. Definitely giving this one a spin in a bit. Thanks again!

Topical Shenanigans:
I ran across a band named Ohgod on Bandcamp and they've got a sick prog-metal album called The Great Silence (rel. 2017) that I'm enjoying the heck out of.

I found an interesting EP from a band I hadn't heard before that I thought some folks here might enjoy. I'll definitely be looking into the rest of their work.
