I'm glad you remembered that this was dropping today because I totally spaced on it. It's definitely going into the queue. Thanks for the heads-up! 🙏😎

To keep things topical, here's a prog-metal release from earlier this month that I'm currently listening to and enjoying quite a bit. It's got some nice symphonic elements here and there, but mostly it's just stacked with solid musicianship and great guitar work.

I’ll have to check this out if you’re suggesting them- I remember all the 80’s stuff but never really followed them. I also didn’t realize that it’s been almost 50 years since the founders first started- wow..

I've been listening to Dream Theater's Parasomnia lately and it's grown on me. I've gone from one of the more disappointing releases to "this is actually pretty f-ing great". Especially the latter half. My favorite tracks are probably Midnight Messiah and Bend the Clock. The Shadow Man Incident feels more like a LTE jam which I don't mind at all. It's not close to their best work, but not their worst by any means.

Just finished the new Nospun. Even though it’s a re-recording of their first EP, their talent really stands out. They’re already working on their next full-length, and with their potential, it should be something big.

Some heavy prog-metal for you guys. I came across this band a while back and they sit right at the edge of what's too heavy for my tastes, but they manage to stay just on the good side of that line for me. Most of their albums, including this one, are instrumental, but it sounds like they have some material with lyrics. This is only the second of their albums I've listened to so I can't say which ones are which or how I like the vocals. I can definitely recommend this one, though.

P.S. @dacwizard I'm glad someone else caught the new drop from LDB and posted it. I thoroughly enjoyed it! 🤘😎
