Really interesting new instrumental prog-metal band just dropped their debut album today.

They're great and I have this new one up next in my queue, but this isn't their debut. They've got a couple previous albums entiteled Here Goes and There Goes going back a few years.

I can't wait to hear what they've done with this latest one though. Their last one, There Goes, was pretty killer!🤘😎

I assumed it was their first album since I hadn’t heard of them before, they’re definitely really talented:metal:

I only came across them last year so I totally understand. They are one of those bands that you hear and then wonder why they aren't more widely known, for sure. I know I definitely thought that when I heard their music.

I'm glad to hear their new album is solid. I've got a few more tracks and then it's on and your post has me stoked!

I haven’t finished it yet, but I’m really enjoying what I’ve heard so far. "Bury You" is my favorite track, and there are still three more to go. Can’t wait to blast the album on my speakers later:metal:

I just finished listening and I've got to say, I'm impressed with this one. I enjoyed it from start to finish. Mourning Bird and Bury You are the two tracks that stood out to me, but I enjoyed every track on some level. I'll definitely be listening to it more and my favorite tracks often shift as my opinions about an album settle.

I already dug these guys auite a bit, considering them one of my favorite prog-metal bands that I've come across recently, but this album is another step up. It demonstrates a bit more flexibility and a broader palette of styles and sounds than their previous two. I love watching/hearing a band grow and push their boundaries instead of resting on their laurels. I hope these guys stick around and keep putting out quality releases.

Sanguine Hum - an interesting band with a couple of good albums. Today‘s suggestion: A Trace of Memory

This sounds like something I'll have to check out more when I get the chance later on. Thanks for the rec! 🙏😎

I meant to put this one up earlier, but I couldn't because of the no double posting deal. I posted it in the which headphone thread, but I think it's good enough that I don't want the folks here to miss it. Anyways, this is album is a cool take on symphonic prog. I've been enjoying it quite a bit.

A very old one - a piece of Kraut-Prog that comes as a dummy-head recording.

Jane - Live at Home (1976]

Maybe you start with the most beautiful track „Windows“ - still one of my all time faves.

LoL, this is literally symphonic prog - not normally my cup of tea but I did enjoy it

I know, right? It's like they took the label super literally. I can totally see why it's not for everyone, but I enjoyed the unique take. I didn't connect with it right off the bat, but once I got a few tracks in and got settled in, I started enjoying myself quite a bit.

Now for the topical stuff. This EP is too short to post as a lone pick normally, but I'll be damned if I'm not gonna put this dude's work out there. I stumbled across it on Qobuz and I just bought this and his other two EPs on Bandcamp. If he keeps putting out music of this caliber, this guy is going places. I can't wait to see/hear what he becomes.

@JAnonymous5150 Much thanks… this has been my album of the day. Refreshing and well recorded.

Hey man, I'm just happy it clicked with someone else. I know it's not the usual prog album, but I thought it was a neat take on the symphonic side of the genre and I really enjoyed it. I'd love to see them put out more albums in the future.

To keep things topical I'll put up the album I'm currently listening to. It's more of an EP at only 4 tracks and 30 minutes long, but it's a good 30 minutes and I'll definitely be checking out their other EP in a bit. The music falls somewhere around the intersection of prog and fusion, but it's got plenty more going on, too.

I'm really liking this album by Gerald Massois. I don't understand the lyrics, but musically it's excellent in every way. Highly recommended.
