Problem with my mic on Sound Blaster tactic 3d aplha headset.

So basically the mic doesnt work ive got Windows 7 64-bit, I've downloaded the latest drivers im using the usb adapter and it doesnt work, the mic aint muted. ive set it as the standard recording tool/thing. However the sound is okay. I really dont know whats wrong please help!
