Buy from authorized dealers or well-known sites such as Amazon. You can always go on the Audio Technica site and see who the authorized dealers are. There are also authorized dealers on eBay, believe it or not. If all else fails, buy from the For Sale section of the forum.
Usually you can tell by the price too. If you are finding products for half the price as everywhere else it is likely, not always, but likely a scam or fake. If you find something for a good price you can always ask here if others have ever used the site and if it was legit. Also, do a little research on the item you are looking at. It's not often a fake will be 100% identical as the real deal...however, that is not to say the scammer isn't using photos in the description of legit products.
I would assume that they are. They are sold by a buyer with a good rating and are fulfilled by Amazon. That is usually a good sign. If not, Amazon will be able to refund them for you.
