So would the banana-to-4pin XLR (for speaker amps) connected to a TI-1a sound better than very high end speaker cables connected to my old resister interface box?
I'm not sure if that is comparable.
The 25W/8Ohms Enleum 23R with TI-1a will be the equivalent to 120W/8Ohm amplifier with RI box, regarding power at the headphone drivers.
So, to match what the 23R will do on a TI, will require a different amp on a RI, which is a greater difference that changing cables.
Even so, comparing our $90 banana-toXLR cable to a $9k cable is not something we aimed for.

If we're talking that kind of money in components and cables, more appropriate comparison will be our VM-1a amplifier with our Silver STAR67 ribbon headphone cable driving the SR-1a.

Digital SR1 Open Baffle compensation in Jriver player

Here’s what should be done:

From the main menu, click on Player, then select DSP Studio, or just hit Ctrl+D, then just do what I did in the attached screenshot:

Check “Parametric Equalizer”

Add “Adjust high frequencies (high-shelf filter)” and check it

Parameters:
Frequency: 1134Hz
Bandwidth (Q): 0.5
Gain: –5dB
Channels: Left;Right

Really easy to use and It works great!
(This creates the OB Comp. curve that I posted on the previous page)
