So, what's new?

• New Asymmetrical Sound Diffusion Structure: Final underwent extensive data simulation and analysis of ear shapes and adjusted the D7000 to reduce the adverse impact of ear shape on sound quality.
• Enhanced AFDS Diaphragm: To complement the "asymmetrical sound diffusion structure," Final has developed an enhanced AFDS diaphragm for the new single-magnet AFDS driver structure.
• New Open-Type Earpads and Headband: The materials for the ear pads and headband are the same as those used in the D8000 Pro Limited Edition, incorporating a Japanese artisanal kraft paper fabric, combining a dry touch, long-lasting durability, breathability, moisture resistance, and antibacterial/deodorizing properties.

Yea where is this supposed to be on the ladder.. under, on par.. or above the 8000?
Price is about the same as 8000 non pro

Final considers this their new flagship. While they don't comment on sound comparisons and superiority over D8000, it appears D7000 is designed based on lessons learned from D8000 family.

Based on random commwnts on tiwitter, it is the case of d7000 is cheaper than d8000 and must be of a lesser quality case.
D7000 R&D is on the same league as Dan Clark stealth. Not everyone go through FEM analysis to design sound diffusion.

I was saving for d8000 pro, but will buy d7000 as it is the next generation of Final audio philosophy.

Assuming they are not the same headphone, this seems like a stop-gap until the X8000 project becomes a real thing. I do not actually know, I simply assume this is not the X8000
