Nice shot.  Which of the lakes is that?  I only had a point and shoot when I went to Tibet back in 2010, but the photos still came out decent because it was visually stunning everywhere I went.

Did you go on the train to Tibet? I want to go there one day... when they relax the entry conditions so I can travel around by myself more freely.
Yes, I took the train from Guangzhou to Lhasa. 3days 2nights with some nice scenery along the way.

17-40 seems like a really impractical range... Nice shot though. In the thumbnail the focusing looks weird.

definitely not impractical.  pretty much a perfect length lens for landscapes

Any scenery is better than the factory smog I've seen whenever I'm in GZ...

I assume you went with a tour guide? Can you just pay for the tour and then go your own way and see sights by yourself?

Didn't go with a tour guide. Actually went with another 2 people I found on the internet. We hired a driver who drove us to the places that were prescheduled with the agency that we booked him through.

Lots of rain here lately which makes for some photographs that wouldn't be there with a lower flow...

Just realised you're from Macau SAR which means it's probably a lot more lax re travel conditions... us 'foreign aliens' need to get a Tibet Travel Permit and meet travel other conditions.
