D5100 came in the mail yesterday..Been going a little nuts. Hard to pick just 4 from all the ones I took yesterday (took a hundred or so of the ducks, need to weed out my favorite).
The Mari shoe was one of the first I took before I set out to Dallas. I think it came out well. Plan on photographing my other figures as well.
It was a really pretty day yesterday...
My new wallpaper.
Good dusk shot. Couldn't pass up the change to get the ducks in the corner.

Sounds like you are enjoying your new Nikon.
This one picture you took is a really pretty landscape. The sky was perfect for you!
Not sure if you want to, but did you consider increasing the sharpness and the saturation in your camera settings?

It was more a focus problem than anything. There's a little I could tweak to make it look nicer for landscapes. I just didn't bother for this shot because I was kinda shooting ducks, not landscapes. lol
I need to do a little more work with it and decide which settings I like for the kinds of photos I'm taking at the time. Still really sorting out a lot of the new features that come with a DSLR camera.
EDIT: I'm going to try and get another shot like this today, but use a tripod and manual focus. Then I'll take it a few times and fiddle with the color settings.

Another Nikoner! We could change the title of this to Post Your Nikon Photography Here.
Well, I did my research and it led me to Nikons for stills and Canon for video...Considering dgaf video...Figured it was the way to go.
Got a big check from my uncle today...ordered a second battery and my 55-300mm DX lens. Hype.

Wow, I really like the use of shutter speed in this one. Well done.

How sad. I would LOVE to have more days with skies like that! (white puffy clouds very scattered and pretty uniformly distributed).
Where I live I rarely see those types of skies.

Last photo is my new kayak. I'm still in the process of rigging it for fishing.
