Do you mean scanning the B&W film as color or taking color photos in the first place?

I've scanned B&W negs in color in the past and generally prefer the grayscale results. I did not try that with these rolls. IME, the B&W negs don't have enough tint to them to make color scans interesting/worthwhile.

As for shooting color to begin with - it certainly would have yielded different results, but I don't think I would have preferred it with these shots. Yes, I would have had some nice contrast between the stone buildings and a blue sky, but that wasn't my intent with this outing.
