I think they have to wait for high tide to continue? If they can continue? I am no expert here, my Dad is though. This coast has been doing this to boats for 100s of years.
Maybe the related authorities should call in bottom-dredgers.
Right in the Quebec Port, the riverbed goes at a "V" shape that is quite difficult to nav. We have tugboats (we call 'em "pilots") guiding them tankers in. A long time ago a cruise ship sunk in this river (Empress of Ireland) and that accident was no better than the famous Titanic, yet few people know about it. Today we have no cruise ships (unless there is a rare ship show), just ferries.
I should go capture some shot. However I can only bang on the ground for not having a 55mm wide-angle converter.
The photo is fine, of course. But Yellow cars... well, I find they don't look good in a few years. Of course, the F40 is from 1988, so who knows. That car is a legend. I love the sunstar, but think the driver could have picked a less urine-friendly colour.
