Post Your Photography Here #2

It seems the autumn weather has re-invigorated the photographer within me and I've been going out and actively trying to photograph things in new ways. I'm starting to find you can find beauty in almost everything, you just have to begin looking more closely, and perhaps looking at things from different angles. There are at least two perspectives to everything you see and more often than not it only takes finding one of those perspectives to make a photograph really jump out at you..

For example, in the first picture, I just had some typical leaves but I tried a technique which I had never tried before which is zooming during the exposure. I think I took some otherwise boring leaves and added the dynamic of movement which I think makes for an interesting shot.

For the second shot, I had a beautiful orange, autumn tree. But instead of the typical "shoot the pretty tree straight on," I shot the tree from a reflection in a creek just below it.

While admittedly not the best examples, and no doubt probably uninteresting to some of you, this is my way of trying to get you to think outside of the box. Who knows what you might come up with?

Was aiming for something more detached and abstract...this isn't really my usual style.

Very nice photos Wil. The contrast is wonderful and I love how you put a border just above and below. It really enhances the look of the photos!

"Bass engine"... Perhaps not the best hi-fi motto.

I take it you are not very familiar with that particular H/U or what the "bass engine" processing is all about. That H/u (CDA-9815) happens to be arguably one of Alpines best ever made H/U's.
