Towert7, the white balance on the first pic seems to be a spot on. How do you manage white balance so accurate? I'm always having trouble with white balance, in part, due to my 4 year old, color bleeding, dell LCD monitor. lol

In that case, I was outside on a sunny day, so I set my Camera's WB to 'sunny', and it gives the perfect WB. I don't have to change colors at all.
I'll also sometimes use the incandescent or florescent presets.

In cases when I have strange lighting, I use the preset auto white balance and meter off something white in that lighting.

Of course, it all depends on what camera you use.

I didn't think it was that simple yet effective.

Frankly, I don't even know if I have presets on my Canon 10D because I never used one. Most of the time, I used Grey cards but I find it somewhat tedious so I end up using AWB which always comes out warmer.

Maybe, it's time for me to upgrade my camera.

Cankin and Ecoyd1, why do you darken the corners on some of the pictures?

Nice shots Cankin, something different!

@ecoyd
I love that first horse shot. You got a few nice zoo ones on your website too.

@towert
Looks like vignetting and sometimes it helps to draw attention back into the frame. I find that FF lenses like the 17-40 leave a nice natural vignette on film and FF sesnsors

Taken today. Gotta love sunrays.
