A Furman power conditioner. It’s a $900 unit but I was able to get it for around $400. Built like a tank.

Do you need an expensive power conditioner? Probably not. But for my guitar rig...Yes. It helps reduce annoying noticeable noise in guitar tube amps. It won’t completely eliminate noise though. Guitar tube amps are definitely known to be noisy.

It’s definitely not snake oil as power conditioners are common in recording studios and on stage.

Some Prime Day goodies: 10TB HDD to add to my media server, and an Apple TV. I've gotten super annoyed with file compatibility with Plex on my various devices, and hoping this will fix that. I absolutely hate Apple, but I heard this has the best file compatibility aside from the Windows program, but actually outputs in HDR.

Since I started ripping 4k blu rays server space disappears quickly, so this 10TB should hold me over for quite a while!

EDIT: Good lord, setting up this Apple TV is just awful. Requiring the itunes app on my PC is the absolute worst. Apple is a cancer on the industry.

Filling out my 4k collection. Extremely annoyed to find the theatrical cut of Donnie Darko has a bad encode on it and doesn't play back properly.

New lens: a Sony 85mm 1.8. Probably going to be the last lens I buy for a while, since I have pretty decent coverage across the focal ranges. Don't have many wide-angle ones, but I don't really do much landscape photography, so I'm not terribly concerned.

One thing I'll say about this one, is just from the few minutes I shot stuff around the house I found the auto focus to be crazy fast; like far beyond my other lenses. The downside is the focus breathing is really bad, and worse than my other lenses, but seeing as I don't do video it really shouldn't be a problem.
