You're correct--good eye! Spruce top and maple back and sides. I'll get some better pix posted later.

I just got my new strat yesterday. I can't even tell you how beautiful the quilted maple top coloring is. I've tried to capture it, but a photo just does not do it justice.

Never did like them much, but not a bad instrument all together. My tuba's not the greatest either, but it gets it done for me (I'll post a pic sometime soon). Best of luck on the Audition!

I deal with what I've got, and yah, I don't like it that much either. Until I can afford to buy one, I'll be using this thing.
