Really? You really should get a better lens if you're going for a D300. The lens makes a bigger difference than the camera body.

Nothing wrong with that lens...especially for the price. If I had the cash I would certainly get the 70-200 f/2.8 but I don't have $1400. The 70-300 was only $400 and is a perfectly good lens. Anyways, I bought the lens before I decided to get the D300. I was going to just use it with my D200 but I got a wild hair up my ass and decided I needed a D300.

Not too sure how it'll sound, I got the D100 before the rest of the setup. But I did have the DT880 250's hooked up and they sounded pretty good. I may have to plug them into the D100 just to test.

Got all these about a week or so ago.

Out of curiosity, how does a beast like the T1 sound like plugged directly into the D100? I am thinking about getting a D100 but would have to sell my amp and my DAC for such a purchase.

So after doing a bit of testing here is how I feel the D100 does with the T1's.

  1. The bass is there, but it doesn't feel as clean and full as with the Woo.
  2. Vocals it does a pretty good job, but a bit too much in the top end for my liking.
  3. Symphony based music it does a decent job, but I feel it hides compared to the Woo.
  4. The speed is there with electronic music.
