Went for the C-2.1 amp (also has a gain switch) in the end, I'm happy so far with this combo. Next month probably T1 and then I hope my upgrade-titus is cured for a while!

I was surprised myself! I guess I was lucky no one else was living close to the seller, it being a collection only. still, have to drive a couple hours to go collect it.
