The 450 should be fine. 80w or so for the CPU and 250w for the 760 (max, IIRC, more like 220).

Should be more than enough, just no room to SLI or any stupid stuff like that.

You sure you got a powerful enough PSU?

Actually the 760 is only 170W. As long as its a decent PSU 450W should be fine.

SLI = stupid?

Huh? SLI is definitely not stupid. Its great! :) It's not like CPUs where adding more cores often doesn't increase speed noticeably. GPUs scale infinitely better. Two 760s in SLI will preform very near 2 times as fast as a single 760. They would consume ~ 340W max so a 450W PSU may not be enough.

I meant stupid in that I couldn't do it with a 450w PSU. Dual 760s is a great idea down the line in a few years. Dual 760s outperform the higher end GPUs pretty handily for the most part.

It's a Corsair, btw. PSU is fine.

I wanted to go micro ATX, but decided to go with a mid tower for expansion possibilities later.

Nice. Congrats on the new PC. I'm planning on doing the same thing but with GTX 770s. Grab one now, then wait until they're about to go off the market and get a 2nd one for a steal. Either of those cards, in SLI, should give you enough GPU performance to last a pretty long while and you've got the option of higher than 1080p res screens or mutli-monitor setups. Sweeeeet. :wink:

I just couldn't justify the extra $150 for the 770 after peeking at some benchmarks. Not now anyway.

Yeah I hear ya. The 760 seems like its at a really great price/performance point. I think most people expected it to come out at 299, not 250. That's a good price. I just need to fend off upgrade-itis as long as possible but I don't think I can bring myself to plop down the $650 for a 780 so I've pretty much decided on the 770.

Nice review on the 1350's
I always thought about picking up a pair of DT235's and now I probably will.

Im running a AMD Radeon 7800 Twin Frozr. Surprisingly good performance from a non NVidia card, and best part is, it's on of the quietest cards i've ever heard. Really good considering both of my cans are open back.

This 760 is actually my first ever nVidia card. I've always run Radeons until now.

I decided to give it a shot because their software interface seems better than AMDs.

A new table, using it as a stereo rack :) Yes, I'm going to tidy up all the cables and other mess... White vinyl on its way to cover the pc + playstation 3, and the black heed obelisk da dac is only on loan until my white one arrives (together with heed audio canalot headamp + px powersupply, also white)

And to complete the xtz w10.17p subwoofers, some xtz 99.26mkii speakers...
