I recently bought some Klipsch s4 ii off eBay for only $40 (new but open box) and I thought it was a steal so I jumped on it right when I saw it. I had heard so much good things about these earphones and I had some pretty high expectations. However, when I first listened to it, it just sounded so meh. It didn't really sound much better than the cheap headphones that came with my s3 besides just being slightly more clear. I even did a test with my sister and she could only tell the a very slight difference between the two. I did some research online and I began to find all these stories of counter feits being sold all over the interent. I contacted the seller and he told me it was from Best Buy. Do you think that my expectations were just way too high or does it seem like I got fake earphones?

i wasnt impressed with the original s4, bought from an authorised shop.
not exactly v smooth...so out it went.

I had a set of S4 fakes, they sounded hollow.  When I did get the real ones they sounded better, but I was not blown away by the sound. They are on par  with a good sounding $30-40 set.
