Porcupine Tree - Did you appreciate them on first listen?

Loved PT from the first time I heard them, way back in school. In Absentia is the standout album for me - It has that mix of great prog rock/metal tracks like 'Blackest eyes' and 'strip the soul' but also the really moving melancholic songs like 'Heartattack In A Layby' which Steven Wilson is just so good at. It also marked the introduction Gavin Harrison on drums, whose talent is almost unreal. I strongly advise anyone to go and see them live too, one of the best live acts I think I have ever seen
