Yesterday beautiful concert in Madrid. Trevor Pinnock conducting the Mozarteum. First and last pieces by Beethoven and Mozart with pretty good performances. The middle part was outstanding. The great Portuguese pianist Maria Joao Pieres gave a beautiful performance of Beethoven’s Piano concerto number 3. This was followed by a amazing encore with a part of Bach piano concerto number 5. Goosebumps!
