Adagietto from Mahler's Symphony No. 5 | Sound/Stage

Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic perform Gustav Mahler’s Adagietto from his Fifth Symphony.

This slow, poetic movement was written as a musical love letter to his wife, Alma.

This performance is part of “Love in the Time of COVID,” the first episode of the LA Phil’s new concert film series Sound/Stage. Visit http://bit.ly/LoveinthetimeofCovid for more.

Question:
Can any of you recommend “best quality” sounding digital or LP copy of Wagner’s Die Walküre ???

No help here. I love the overtures and some arias but I haven’t heard a whole Wagner opera in years. The orchestral Wagner I find amazing
It’s very intense on dynamic stereo system. I am not sure if I can sit true entirety of it? But while in the right mood, it can be satisfying experience. I would rather hunt it down on Vinyl but no clue which copy is of decent sound quality.

The CD box of Solti/Vienna does it for me. Smooth as silk, with sound effects on stage (studio recordings) that border on the fantastic. Decca engineering too. The LPs are decent, but have been superseded by the digital remasterings.

Thanks a lot.
Seems like I’ll have a little hunting to do on my lunch time. 👍
