I think the 1500 will work for you but I honestly can't say for sure because I just don't listen to much music that is extremely fast and demanding. If it helps I like them with Rush and with the fastest busiest ACDC tunes.

rush can get very fast lol I think I might pick them up in a week or 2

I've never once had the feeling that the 1500s couldn't keep up, I don't listen to speed metal or anything but I do listen to some music that can have some pretty fast parts, like progressive jazz, The Dixie Dregs, etc. Maybe that is not relevant  to your intended use.

Just received two new full size headphones Fidelio L2 and NVX EVT100 and while both are good, they both make me appreciate my 1500 more. The 1500 just captures the right amount of upper and lower midrange. The L2 missed some upper mids and the EVT100 misses lower mids. I have the same issue with my SRH1540.

Just wanted to say these are still my go to IEM, something that doesn't happen very often since I tend to drift. I am sure they won't be a perfect IEM for everyone but I still have not found a successor yet.

After weeks of using the after market android cable I bought I switched back to the original cable and I have to admit I still prefer the original cable over anything else I have tried. Pioneer really created a great cable for this IEM, it is perfectly matched sonically speaking and is just a great cable minus smartphone controls. For the purist I can't see any complaints.

Unfortunately I no longer have the UE900 so have to go from memory. The UE900 has more detail and is brighter. The mids of the UE900 are thinner sounding though and the bass is not quite as heavy. I prefer the 1500 myself even though it lacks quite the same amount of detail.

Hi it's been 2 week that I've got the DJE-1500 and tip rolling to tamed the slight sibalance im hearing in the mids. Also im trying to get the seal right. If it's too deep in the canal you get a bad sound, I don't know wich tips I should be using... I really like the sonic presentation of these earphone and I can say that these are sounding a bit like the JVC FXT-90. Great bass by the way in the MHC-1 kind of way.

I found UE tips worked best for me, Sony hybrids will help reduce the treble if you having sibilance issues.

Still loving my DJE1500. Switched back today after testing another IEM and these still have the balance I love. The T10i is enjoyable as well but just not the way these are for me.

Ok after a long burn-in these are great. I don't know if my brain is accustomed their sonic signature, but I love the control between every frequency. Even straight from my iphone 5S, they give a fat and satisfiying bass. Using U900 tips now
