Pillow-fi? What's the best pillow?

I have memory foam pillows and they're too hard for me. I wake up in the morning and I have a crick in my neck or a shot of pain in my back. I much prefer my feather pillow thats been breaking in for almost 7 years now.

I got a pair of Allergen Barrier Nexus Down Alternative Pillows from Overstock a year and a half ago for relatively little money. They are soft and plush but not overly fluffy, and actually seem to retain their medium fluffy feel better after several washings. I use one on top of the other. I have also noticed fewer allergy issues with these over my old hand-me-down pillows that used to set off allergy attacks almost every night.

I have another more typical modern pillow that I use to prop myself up when I read in bed. I absolutely can't sleep with it, as it's much too firm, and gets hot way too quickly.

Forgot to ask... Has anyone ever had any success with those anti-snore pillows?

I bought a down filled pillow from Feathered Friends approx. 10~12 years ago and Absolutely love it. I got the king in a firm fill, and cannot sleep with anything else. I have tried a few different pillows over the years including a memory foam for a few nights, but always come back to my down.

I just found the best pillow. Its half normal pillow and half memory foam. Its a Sleep Innovations, they had another that was a firmer pillow with memfoam in the middle.

I've seen something like that at the mall, though it was probably bad quality.

It had a memory foam core but the rest was goosedown. That would probably get the best mix of softness and support. Not sure.

New latex pillow smells like c0ckroach's butt.

I just bought this Dunlopillo Therapillo today. I might have bought the wrong one (medium) - might be a bit too flat for me. Hope it's alright because this thing isn't cheap.

I was actually choosing between this one and the Homedics CoolGel one, but I chose the Dunlopillo instead because the foam molds better to shape and I think the Homedics one might be a bit too thick for me.

Same here

If it gets too warm I get out of bed and wait for the AC unit to do it's job on the bed o.O

I tried about 4-5 different pillows from different brands and always ended up with neckaches. Then I found - DUNLOPILLO!! ITS AWESOME!! I use a mid height contoured and when GF felt it she made demanded I go get one for her but in high-height. I've NEVER slept better.

Well, after last night the first time using it, I'm not sure what to make of the Dunlopillo therapillo. Do these things need burn in time?
I didn't feel anything special, but *I think* it's better than the el crappy pillow courtesy of Target that I was using...

I don't really have a preference for the big fluffy ones / or more flat ones. Just need the pillow to be nice and cold when I goto sleep.

I too am a big fan of buckwheat. Been using one for about 10 years and don't think I could switch to anything else. I hate when I'm travelling and have to use a down pillow in a hotel.

They do. When I bought my memory foam mattress it took a month to acclimate to it. However the pillow took much less time. Give it a week.
