That's nice... making fun of the newbie!!! LOL
I did not realize the length when I had it made. It serves it's purpose well and I will replace it sometime down the road.

Have you drilled the KSC-75 grill? I can not tell exactly by the picture. If you did not, then it is just quarter mod, not Kramer mod.

Yes, holes are drilled. The round holes are courtesy of my Dremel tool.

It was a nice day today to be outside, so I did some relaxing, reading and listening with my Sony Reader + Atrio M8

I saw this thread earlier and thought it might be cool to post some of my pics as well. They seem pretty simple compared to some but they really rock !!

First is my Micro-Candy Apple Red Portable

IPod shuffle 2g - Travagans Colors - Shure PTH - in-line volume control-Hearyourself.com Triple Driver C-3 Customs

This is my most convenient because it all hangs from the lapel clip of the PTH Mic.

And then there's my Big Daddy (still pretty small though)

IPod 80 gb 5th gen video - L.O.D. - Headroom Total Airhead - in-line volume (for male-female conector only) - shure PTH - Hearyourself.com triple driver C-3 Customs

My Hearyourself.com C-3 triple driver customs are only 13 ohms so they don't need much amp. but both the Travagans Colors and the Total Airhead really clean up the low volume hissing. I sure wish these portable micro-amp builders would put a push to hear Mic. on thier units, There are so many wires to deal with.
and with so many listeners going to in--ear monitors with their increased isolation, it's rather inconvenient taking the monitors out of your ears to talk to someone

Yeah, I cant find a pair of cheap, easy to drive closed cans that sound like my livewires, so since my livewires didnt cost me much im gonna keep enjoying them at home and just get a PTH to make them easier to use around the home. May treat my rigs to a D2 boa after Xmas if i can find someone in the UK with one to loan me first, im 15 and cant risk annoying my parents (getting an earful) and then maybe end up selling it.

Soon i will have:
D2 -> Livewires
D2 -> PTH -> Livewires

D2 -> Boa amp -> Livewires
D2 -> Boa amp -> PTH -> Livewires

D2 -> Juice Cmoy -> Livewires
D2 -> Juice Cmoy -> PTH -> Livewires

D2 -> FiiO E5 -> Livewires
D2 -> FiiO E5 -> PTH -> Livewires

D2 -> FiiO DAC/Amp amp -> Livewires
D2 -> FiiO DAC/Amp amp -> PTH -> Livewires

Laptop/PC -> U Control -> Livewires/Labtec Speakers/MX500
Laptop/PC -> U Control -> Juice Cmoy -> Livewires + PTH/Labtec Speakers/MX500
Laptop/PC -> U Control -> FiiO E5 -> Livewires + PTH/Labtec Speakers/MX500
Laptop/PC -> U Control -> D2 Boa Amp -> Livewires + PTH /Labtec Speakers/MX500
Laptop/PC -> U Control -> FiiO DAC/Amp Amp -> Livewires + PTH /Labtec Speakers/MX500

Laptop/PC -> D2 Boa -> Livewires + PTH/Labtec Speakers/MX500
Laptop/PC -> D2 Boa -> Juice Cmoy -> Livewires + PTH/Labtec Speakers/MX500
Laptop/PC -> D2 Boa -> FiiO E5 -> Livewires + PTH/Labtec Speakers/MX500
Laptop/PC -> D2 Boa -> FiiO DAC/Amp Amp -> Livewires + PTH/Labtec Speakers/MX500

Laptop/PC -> FiiO Amp/DAC DAC -> Livewires + PTH/Labtec Speakers/MX500
Laptop/PC -> FiiO Amp/DAC DAC -> Juice Cmoy -> Livewires + PTH/Labtec Speakers/MX500
Laptop/PC -> FiiO Amp/DAC DAC -> D2 Boa Amp -> Livewires + PTH/Labtec Speakers/MX500
Laptop/PC -> FiiO Amp/DAC DAC -> FiiO E5 -> Livewires + PTH/Labtec Speakers/MX500

Of course i could also have laptop/pc headphone out -> Amp, instead of DAC -> amp/-> amp... But that would be pointless, just like this post... But at least now i have got my head around what i can do with what i will have
