I showed him my D2, P910i, Clie TH55, and Sansa Clip... he's going to sell his iPhone ASAP and get something useful instead.

Besides all the other crippling limitations and ridiculous annoyances... The straw that broke the camel's back was that the completely useless Bluetooth implementation of the iPhone doesn't even support OBEX - no chance getting your contacts over from your old phone without hassle... ROFL. Not to mention the horror that is iTunes - which you even need to activate the SIM card - for some reason that absolutely eludes me.

The sound quality is mediocre, worse than the D2 or Sansa Clip, but slightly better than my ancient and wimpy 2002 Samsung YP-U1. This is with "EQ" turned off... the awful presets make the sound quite a bit worse. The stereo separation/crosstalk seems to be the most positive point, soundstage was pretty good.

The iPhone is a joke... a pretty but expensive joke. "Style over substance" never rang so true.

lol

Widdors, nice set up.

That UHA is pretty small.

Thanks! The UHA has the same footprint as the D2, and all together is still easily pocketable. I went from a 2gen Nano w/Total Bithead to this combo, and I prefer the size of the D2 and UHA-3, and the sound is much better, too.

taken with my iphone, my office and walking-around--the-mall rig.
For uber-portability, i ditch the amp and the cans and use my IM716s.

80 gig 5.5 ipod -> ALO bling -> Go-Vibe Magnum -> AKG k271s

edit: pics to follow, flickr is being uncooperative

Here's My Rig, Sansa Clip 1GB > RadioShack Gold series mini to mini (shorten to 3 feet) > pa2v2 > SR80, good sounding rig

Next rig planned is iAudio7 8GB > (Maybe DIY interconnects) > (Sub $150 Amp) > SR225, can't wait to give that a go
