Here's my poor man's portable

Pre-colour Ipod > Kramer Mod JVC Marshmallows

The Ipod has served me well, was laying dormant for almost 2 years until it suddenly started working again, I was getting the failed hardware message and so I was very lucky! Though not being able to group compilations is slightly annoying and it is pre-gapless, too. Looking towards some better earphones soon, too, of course. These are amazing for the cost though

The old brasso trick does work, too! One thing I like about the old Ipods is the placement of the headphone jack, and the click wheel is a bit better I think, a bit more robust, harder to get lost, and with the new Ipods if you have something without artwork it puts a dummy one in there which looks a bit annoying, I like the display here. And that bright blue is strangely alluring. The headphone jack has worn a bit with time though and the headphones fall about a bit easier but I can't hear it having affected the sound at all.

Anyways now I'm rambling!

iPod Classic -> C&C Box+ -> ATH-W5000
Everything is secured together with velcro

(except for the stray mini to standard cable).
When i need more portability i just drop the velcroed headamp and w5k and plug in my trusty e2gs

.
Just incase - that's NOT an iPod shuffle, it's the radio/remote.

Indeed there is, one for the Tomahawk, one for the Headsix and one for the MiniBoxE+!

I'm still a firm believer that veriety is the spice of life

Between my original iPod Mini, 2nd gen Nano (think I'm going for a Pico for this one), U2Pod, new Nano, a plethora of LOD's, IEM's and CANS I can mix and match for a very wide veriety of size, sond sigs and rigs for certian purposes

But of all these rigs they just never seem to reach this level!

Wouldn't variety mean different mp3 players, not just different versions of iPods?
