You are lucky that headfi is a sensible forum, most forums that I frequent, that there would end up as someone's signature

I believe this is still fairly portable and the SQ is top notch in comparison to both the HD25s and Atrio M5s. But I still use those depending on my portable needs. I mainly use this setup in bed and during break at work. I'm honestly surprised I don't see more SR-001s on here considering how unwieldy some of the rigs are.

That's pretty sweet. I haven't thought about it but it makes perfect sense. Just like Motorcycles with the stereo systems on them. I can only imagine a nice Classical CD while cruising or some Metal for ripping through some rocks, dirt and a couple of scars.

Now that's Portable Rig!

I would have a home stax if any as I couldnt wear them on my school bus haha!

EDIT: Oh, they dont have a headband, maybe i could. Which have a headband?

Hows isolation?

Matt

They do include a headband but it's not required. For the sake of showing the headphones more clearly I just removed them from the headband is all.

One of the primary reasons I don't use these for my sole portable needs is they probably only isolate around 15% of outside noises. They aren't completely worthless outside though as the sound is channeled directly into your ears unlike say a clip-on like the KSC75 where the sound just kinda piddles out in loud environments.

They are really transparent and detailed like its larger Stax brethren and I enjoy having them on the go.

i am far from having audiophile hearing, but it sounds good for me. considering its size, imho i think it's surprisingly good! i know my koss the plug is a low-end earphone, but it provides me enough isolation during my lunch time at work, so it's ok, but it doesn't have enough quality to avaliate the amp's sq.

about the knob... i didn't have a smaller one, so i used it because the other one i have is even bigger.

i didn't mention before, but i built this amp only using spare parts i had laying around.

That is the phone you can flick/shake to shuffle tracks right?

yes, it is! and it REALLY needs an external amp... and that "shake control" thing to skip songs is the most useless feature in the phone!

I just got the white Incase Slider. EXTREMELY nice looking

but as you said in your review, it attracts finger oils like mad and I do have a skin on both the front and back of my iPod Touch which makes it pretty snug... PLUS the left side of my Incase Slider was manufactured pretty badly, the top doesn't match up with the bottom, making the top stick out. It scratches me all the time because its pretty sharp. It's going back to the Apple Store. I really wanted to like it and aesthetically I still think it's the best looking case, it actually made my iPod Touch SEXIER; a feat few cases do. Right now I'm just using my old Griffin Reflect, which is a bit thicker but it fits like a dream and is pretty solid. Nowhere near as nice as the Incase Slider though...I'm going to use it till the Incase Slider 2 comes out

Nice review by the way, I definetely agree with everything you said
