Yeah i realized that. how would it work if you had an SD card also though? it would be like a shared library between the internall HDD and the SD or something?

ultraportable. I use the A818 headphone extension cable on my SE530s..they are slightly shorter than the one included with the SE530, so its perfect for my short self.

The reason I am looking for a flexible cable is I am using an iPod Touch case similar to this one and have the amp attached to the flap which I open to get at the controls.

It appears to me that the LOD has the 3.5mm jack built in and the cable is just a mini to mini.

yea, just like low_fidelity said, it's a LOD with a built-in 1/8" jack from jaben, and a mini-to-mini that i built myself. tried other mini-to-mini's but they were all too stiff. needed a mini-to-mini to be extremely flexible because headsix' jacks are not that great at holding plugs, and i just built the mini-to-mini without sleeving for flexibility.
