The N76 is a good phone with a decent music browser/interface. I've used a few headphones with it, including my custom IEMs, ER6i and the HD650. The headphone out is just about powerful enough, but the bass rolls-off quite early and there's a lot of hissing. Maybe it's just my N76?

  1. 4G Red Wine Audio iMod (60GB)
  2. Hosa 8" mini-mini interconnect (soon to be upgraded to a much higher quality custom cable)
  3. Xenos X1HA-EPC headphone amp
  4. Shure E500 or Grado SR80

The iMod is attached with strong double-sided foam tape. The 8" interconnect is routed along the edge of the amp using packing tape.

Yes, I tested it first, it peels off fine with no damage or marks whatsoever.

Here are a couple of pics of my rig:

The Hornet is attached via Velcro as shown below.

I also have Velcro squares on the dash of my SUV to mount up for driving, and Velcro strips on my treadmill for use there.

I have a small camera bag that holds the assembled rig along with my sf5's for use on the plane.

crumpler bags - do they have enough space for ipod + amp + dock out cable?? i went to best buy and all the camera cases were "too short".. wide and deep but not tall enough to compensate for the dockout cable.
