Hi DLim98,
I noticed from you sig that you used to have the Sony EX71's but they got stolen, and you're using EX81's now.

How do u find the EX81's compared to EX71's? Do the ear hooks help keep them on, or are more of a nuisance?

Any difference in the sound?

I just got a pair of EX71's myself. Was trying to deciding between the 71's and 81's

Never posted before, but I've been reading the forums for a while.
I've got an old Sony MZ-n707 MD and an even older Sony D-777 DBB Discman, I've been using them with Ex-70's mostly. Back when I had Grado SR80's I used the discman a lot more, because it sounded a lot better than the MD. So, as much as I love the D-777, it lives in a drawer now.

(sorry if the pictures show up as links, I'm not sure how to use the forums yet)

Nice Discman...and very nice earphones! I still miss mine...look way better than EX71s imo.

Honestly, I can't really tell the difference between the EX70's and the EX71's, though, I prefer a single mid length cord rather than that extended cord which is a little ungainly to me, but I'd be happy with a 20ft cord if I could have a pair of RS-1's like Elephas...

I'm also thinking of finally getting a proper mp3 player, so if you know anyone who's looking to buy a Sony D-777 to help me pay for it, let me know!

I am unsure about the version, can't find the marking, but the last digit of the barcode is 2, so maybe it is v2.

See, mine has slightly longer then they should be heels, so she is kind of toppled over, I either need to keep a quarter under her toes for her to stand, or shave off the heel.

Crooked.
Something under her toes.

60 gb mod?

for chow_ahbeng's question about the sony headphones: I like the sound from the ex-81's a little more because in my opinions the bass is a little more clear, but with the little hook for the ear, its sort of a bother. It would be better if they didn't have it like the 71's, but you learn to deal.

yup. I really wanted the MK8006GAH, but the CSR from span.com told me that it is still a good few months till they have those in stock so I went for the 60.

Funny thing too, while tinkeing around, decided to check if the firmware for the G5 will take the upcoming MK400GAL (by connecting the GAH drive), and sure thing:

So something to think about for the 12 people who still have these
