Clean! /me really like.

That KGSS sure looks to be built like a tank. No fuzz, just two massive metal blocks.

How's it sound compared to the Headamp KGSS? or the BH?
I assume the specs are "Spritzer-tweaked" compared to the original design?

It's a standard KGSS in every way except I use pots (quad RK27 which will be replaced with a TKD 2508) and not stepped attenuators as is often the case. I'll post internal pics on the DIY forum.

I've never heard one of Justin's KGSS units but this amp uses his PCB's (which anybody can buy) so it should sound rather similar. Compared to the BH (and the ESX to some extent) it is a bit leaner in the bass and slightly more diffused but in a good way.

Here it is, the college dorm stereo. Its the best placement in the room......but still not the best placement. I make do though hahaha. All the equip is listed in my signature. The turntable, not sure if it's in my sig or not, is nothing special. It's a bic940 hooked up to a Music Fidelity X-LP. Let me know what you think!!

That is a very nice rig.

The HE-5 now is sold off as they just weren't up to the mark. The other two are my mainstay headphones which have seen a lot of high end competition crushed under their relentless onslaught..
They are the Smeggy made Fostex T50RP woodies, aka "The Thunderpants"

yes..they are O2 pads. I am actually supposed to receive a few pairs of cloned O2 pads made from leather later this afternoon which I am having made specifically for this reason. Cheaper at 40-50$ than paying 120$ for a new set of O2 pads.
