Hows the XPA-2 treating you? I've always been interested in those (I heard their old 2-channel reference separates, and fell in love with the company)

Very well. I actually have two of the XPA-2s. The other one is in my two channel system powering a set of B&W N805 speakers. I've had that amp for about a year now. The one I put up in the pic above was a recent addition when the Carver TFM-25 I had running the rear surrounds bit the dust. After adjusting output levels, the XPA-2 just blended right in with the rest of the system.

ZX10Guy, I noticed the isolation transformer (I assume) mounted with your subpanel in previous pics earlier in this thread. I'm planning to do a basement buildout for a dedicated 2 channel room in the next year or so, and I'm looking into a similar setup. Can you offer any details, or where you purchased the isolation transformer? Great room by the way. Very clean and simple lines, I like understated systems like that. I'm sure it sounds even better than it looks.

"$175 for custom???

I think that I paid $300 for mine, and it is only half that size that sits on the plinth. Good deal!

Edit - Just looked it up. It was $329 and it's acrylic, not plexi-glass.

ARIES PLINTH TOP AP $329 21.25 X 15.25 X 5"

Eh? I could build something like that for a hell of allot less. Any of you guys up for that? I'm moving into a new house soon and will be building a 3D analog (hand powered) milling machine. I could make any number of things out of any number of materials for you guys if you want. We could deal through my 30 review 100% rating ebay account. My current usage plan is to make an aluminum case for a headphone amplifier I am considering building soon.

plexi-glass is a type of acrylic - perhaps, in this case, they are referring to the same thing?
