haha. funny comments. I actually got rid of the old 20GB and 5GB in favor of the new ones. I picked up a second one for my gfriend, and I getting 2 more for my sister and a friend. My gfriend gets a nice educational discount $30 off.

haha. I didn't really mean to come off like that. They way I see it, my audio hobby is relatively cheap compared to what my other hobbys are. (cars + traveling + fine dining)

just bought myself a 5gb ipod. my first portable purchase in about 6-7 years (sony pcdp). hope its worth it. paid 180 shipped on ebay. looking at the other auctions i think i did pretty good.

the 15gb looks awesome! i want one

but i don't have 400 bucks for one. i'd love to have that dock and the smaller size. is the 5gb version larger than the 15?

going to be using mine with a pair of MX500s

can't wait til its delivered.

The old 5 gig is larger than the new 15 gig, not seeming that much larger on paper, but in real life I suspect the 5 gig will feel a lot larger, but still quite small as HD based players go. I also suspect after you're done with that 5 gig, you'll want to get a new one, iPods are lots of fun. Glad to hear you're getting one.

5gb will be more than i can probly ever use. i've got at most 15 cds that i would ever listen to. thats barely 200 songs if that.

my only reasoning to go for the 15gigger would be the accessories and the smaller form factor.

Hey, I thought 5GB would be enough for me too, luckily I got the bigger version. I've already filled about 4.5 GBs worth of songs. Not withstanding my super old cd collection. But remember different people different strokes.
