I'd like to share that I have been using the Downtowns for a few months at work and am very satisfied with them. I do not regret the purchase for a minute. Highly recommended.

I often find the cable of the uptowns to be criticised. Do those two actually have the same cable?

AFAIK, they both feature the same anti-tangle cable. I've had no problems with the cable on my Downtowns.

What is annoying about former Uptowns (the current black model does not present this issue) is a volume slider that could create noise or channel imbalance since I never touch it (or move it)  it does not bother me.
