Woah. Looks more fashionable than the X2. But it looks like it can be run balanced. Curious to know if they did anything to upgrade the sound signature or driver from the previous edition.

It looks more closed than open, what the heck?
Is cloth that permeable these days?

Doesn't look like the earpads are removable. RIP.
Hunh, so from a few pictures you are ready to declare them to have non
removable pads and they are therefore 'dead on arrival'?
The pads could be on a plastic ring that clips into place...you have no way of telling if those are non removable pads.

It looks more closed than open, what the heck?
Is cloth that permeable these days?
Have you ever seen speakers? With the cloth grill covers? It looks like an open backed headphone with cloth stretched over the entire outer cup. That is potentially a very open configuration.

Using Google url translation here is the article in English:

Philips, which has been deeply involved in the audio-visual industry for many years, has launched a number of classic earphone products, including Fidelio series HiFi headphones, which are widely praised for their fever. They also have music headphones and wireless earphones that are affordable, stylish and easy to use. Chinese consumers for Philips The recognition of the brand can be said to be very high.

At the 4th Z·HiFi Experience Conference hosted by Zhongguancun Online, Philips brought a number of new Fidelio series HiFi headphones, and the new flagship HiFi Headset X3 attracted many enthusiasts. Come and listen. Of course, I also experienced this headset on the spot, simply talk to everyone about the X3's new flagship audition experience.

First of all, in terms of design, I think X3 should be more fashionable than the previous generation of flagship X2. The outer layer of the earmuffs is made of fabric material, and the overall design is more concise; of course, the most important thing is that the X3 is very comfortable to wear and wide. The head beam, thin and tough headband, soft and thick, while covering the earmuffs with excellent feeling, will not feel tired for a long time, which I like very much.

In terms of acoustic structure, the X3 features an open acoustic design with a 50mm tantalum drive unit that further enhances the expressiveness of the music range. According to the on-site Philips headset product manager, Philips first adopted a balanced interface on the Fidelio X3, which provides a strong guarantee for better sound performance. In addition, the multi-layer drive unit diaphragm technology of the earphone is also newly added, which can provide better Sound positioning.

The braided material earphone cable used in the X3 feels good, the softness is moderate, and of course the most important is the durability, which is also an improvement. In addition, the X3 continues to use a 3.5mm headphone plug, making it easy for users to connect directly to their mobile phone. It is worth noting that the X3 has a 30 ohm impedance and can be easily driven using a mobile phone.

In terms of hearing, the X3's overall sound is very loose, which is quite surprising to me; and the open acoustic design also brings excellent sound transparency, while the width and envelop of the sound field is also strong. Therefore, using this earphone to listen to the large classical music, the effect will be very good, the sound of different instruments can be clearly restored, the position of the musical instrument store is also relatively clear, which is also the advantage of the open large headphones.

In general, Philips' new flagship Fidelio X3 gave me a good experience, wearing a comfortable fit, good comfort in the earmuffs; loose sound, bright and transparent, and wide sound field, especially for the interpretation of large classical music. Of course, listening to pop and vocals is no problem at all. Since this headset has not yet been officially released, the specific price is not easy to disclose, but you can tell everyone that the price of this headset will be below 4,000 yuan. As a new flagship, this price should be said to be very tempting and worth looking forward to.
